FAQ

Still wondering? Start here.

Find answers before you commit: getting started, your likeness, approvals and what is included.

The essentials

Who is OwnTake for?

For self-employed experts and businesses who want to share their own expertise with their own face and voice, without recording every reel. Choose a package; profile and style preparation are included.

Will the videos use my face and voice?

Every plan includes your own AI avatar and voice: one third of the plan’s time is available for your avatar, and other reels or scenes can be voice-led. We use your likeness and voice only with the appropriate permission. The fictional people in the walkthrough are examples, not presenters assigned to your brand.

What do you actually prepare for me?

We organise your materials, suggest topics, and prepare a script, storyboard and edit. Choose an expert-avatar reel, a visual explanation or an edit of your real materials. You choose the topic and approve the script and draft. For avatar reels, the final avatar render follows those approvals.

Do I have to record every reel?

No. There is an initial setup using agreed photos or recordings and a voice sample. That is different from filming every new reel. We confirm the exact setup materials before production.

Is this a self-service app?

This is a fully managed service. We prepare the material and guide you through approvals. You do not need your own ElevenLabs or fal account, or any AI or editing software.

What if the avatar looks or sounds unnatural?

Your first order includes an extra 10–15 second style sample to check your avatar, voice, captions and graphics before the series. It does not use package seconds and is not an extra full publishable reel. Tell us what needs correcting. Our technical errors and departures from the approved brief are corrected without extra charges, outside the revision limits. AI cannot reproduce every expression perfectly.

Your brand and getting started

I do not have a brand book. Can I still start?

Yes. Start with your offer, audience and a few examples of communication you like. We can agree on a simple visual direction for the videos. A full brand identity project is a separate scope, not automatically included.

Do I need a logo?

A logo is not necessary to explain your expertise. Your name and a consistent presentation can be the starting point. If you already have a logo, share a usable file; designing a new one is not automatically included.

What if I have no colours, fonts or visual style?

Bring references rather than trying to invent a complete identity first. We agree on a direction before producing the edit. If you need a broader branding service, that should be scoped separately.

Do I need an established social media account?

You do not need a large audience to discuss a pilot. It helps to know who you want to reach and what you offer them. Videos are one part of building a presence, not a substitute for a clear offer.

What if my profession is not one of the three examples?

The trainer, tutor and adviser are examples, not a closed list of industries. Tell us what you know, who you help and what people ask you. We assess whether your material suits this format.

I have knowledge but no ideas for reels. Is that a problem?

That is a useful starting point. Client questions, common misunderstandings and the way you explain your work can become topic proposals. You choose which ideas reflect your experience; we do not invent opinions for you.

Materials and recording

What materials will you need from me?

Share your offer, audience, common questions and communication examples. For your voice and avatar, we agree the required voice sample, photos or recordings and permissions before production. For reels showing real work, you supply real photos or footage and the rights to use them. No filming crew is included.

Can I record the setup materials on my phone?

A phone can be a starting point. Clear audio, usable lighting and a suitable frame matter more than owning studio equipment. We check the material and confirm the recording requirements before using it.

Is a single photograph enough for everything?

A photo provides the visual starting point. We also need a voice sample and information about your communication. You receive instructions for the agreed setup, including any required consent or verification recording. You do not need to open a provider account.

I dislike being on camera. Does this still make sense?

You still need to be comfortable using your own likeness and voice publicly. The purpose is to reduce repeated filming, not to force you into it or pretend no initial material is needed. We can discuss how much avatar footage suits your message.

Can you use my articles, presentations or existing videos?

Yes, they can help communicate your knowledge and tone. Share material you are allowed to use and tell us which parts are current. We turn it into an agreed script rather than assuming every old statement should be repeated.

Can I include real client stories or confidential documents?

Use only information you are entitled to share. Remove personal and confidential details before sending examples, and obtain any permissions needed for identifiable stories. An anonymised question is often enough to explain the idea.

Your input and approvals

Who chooses the topics?

We suggest topics based on your material and audience. You choose what resonates with your expertise and offer. A suggested topic is not permission to produce or publish anything in your name.

Will I see a storyboard as well as the script?

Yes. The storyboard shows the planned scenes and visual ideas alongside the words, so you can assess how the message will work as a video before production.

How do you keep the wording sounding like me?

We use your examples, vocabulary, audience and feedback to establish a direction. You review the script and can point out wording you would never use. The aim is your meaning and tone, not a generic AI persona.

What do I approve, and when?

First, the script and storyboard. Then, the edit with your still photo, captions and graphics. Only after your approval do we render the speaking avatar. Silence is never treated as approval.

How many revisions are included?

For each reel, one consolidated round for the script and storyboard, plus two consolidated rounds for the photo edit before the final avatar render. A round is one complete list of feedback and can contain multiple points. Our errors and departures from the approved brief are corrected free of charge, outside these limits.

Can I change something after approving it?

Yes. A new topic or change to an approved direction may require extra work. We quote the cost and explain the timing before you approve it. Correcting our error is not a new order.

The finished videos

How long can a reel be?

Up to 60 seconds. We choose the length to suit the topic rather than fill the limit. The quote specifies the scope of avatar footage and other elements.

Does the avatar have to be on screen all the time?

No. The edit can combine avatar shots, narration, captions and explanatory graphics. We agree on the balance in the storyboard rather than making every video a single talking-head shot.

What files will I receive?

A finished MP4 video plus the additional files listed in your quote, such as SRT captions and a cover. You know the exact deliverables before starting. Project files and access to production tools are not automatically included.

Where can I publish the videos?

On your own channels covered by the order. We agree the format and intended use, including any advertising versions, before production.

Do you also publish posts and run my account?

That is not part of the current reel pilot. Delivery does not automatically include posting, comments, direct messages, advertising or analytics. Any wider account service would need a separate agreement.

Will the reels guarantee reach or new clients?

No. The goal is to help people understand your expertise and offer. Reach, enquiries and sales also depend on the offer, audience, distribution and consistency. We do not promise a specific business result.

Pilot, price and planning

How much does OwnTake cost?

Packages cost $36.60, $82.80, $154.20, $217.20 or $271.80 in USD before applicable taxes. They contain 300, 750, 1,500, 2,250 or 3,000 seconds of finished video, with one third available for your own avatar. For example, 300 seconds can make ten 30-second reels. Profile preparation is included, with no separate start-up fee.

Is there a subscription or minimum commitment?

There is no subscription or automatic renewal. You buy a package once; the smallest contains 300 seconds of video, including 100 seconds for your avatar. Single reels are not sold separately.

How soon will I receive my videos?

Your profile, style sample and first complete reel take up to 5 business days; a subsequent individual reel in the established style takes up to 1 business day. Work starts after scope confirmation, payment and complete materials. Waiting for your materials, feedback or approval pauses the schedule; we confirm the updated date when you respond. Batch schedules are agreed separately.

Can I approve my style before the series?

Your first package includes a short 10–15 second style sample before we produce the series. You approve your avatar, voice, captions and graphics. This preview does not use your package seconds and is not a separately purchased trial or a full additional reel.

Can I have videos in more than one language?

Yes. Agree the languages before production so we can prepare the wording, voice, captions and lip sync for each version. Additional languages are quoted separately before work begins.

Can I use a colleague or employee as the presenter?

Only discuss this with that person's involvement and permission. You also need the right to use the supplied material. Permission from a company is not a substitute for the presenter's agreement to the use of their likeness and voice.

How does payment work?

After we confirm your scope, schedule and final package price, you pay upfront in USD through Stripe. Profile preparation is included in that price. Work starts after payment and complete materials.

Can I cancel and receive a refund?

If you cancel before work starts, we refund the full payment. After work begins, we charge for completed stages priced in advance and refund the unfinished portion. You receive the stage breakdown before starting. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

How do package discounts work?

Larger packages have a lower effective price per second of finished video. Package savings are already included in the displayed final price. The number of reels depends on their lengths; examples of 30-second reels are illustrative, not fixed quantities. Packages cover one expert, one language and the agreed style.

Does this price include any kind of video?

The plan price covers standard editing, narration, captions and simple graphics, plus your avatar within the plan’s avatar share. On-site filming, generated cinematic scenes, complex animation, extra languages and major changes of direction need a separate quote approved before work begins.

How long can I use my package?

You can use your package for 12 months from purchase. We agree the production schedule and each reel’s scope before starting. Avatar seconds are part of the total video allowance, not extra seconds added on top. We confirm the planned use of both limits in the storyboard.

Trust and responsible use

Can you produce something in my name without my approval?

The final reel follows your topic choice, script approval and photo-draft approval. We do not use your likeness or voice for other clients. Showing your work in NexaroAI's portfolio or advertising requires separate, voluntary permission. You can ask us to stop future productions using your likeness or voice.

What happens to my photos and voice recordings?

We use them to prepare the agreed videos with your likeness and voice. Our workflow uses external providers, including ElevenLabs for voice and fal for avatar video. Before you send personal materials, you receive information on the providers, processing, storage and deletion applicable to your order. Portfolio permission is optional and separate.

Who owns the delivered files and the avatar?

Your order specifies how you may use the final materials before work starts. Receiving an MP4 does not transfer a provider account, the underlying voice model or editable project files. We manage the production tools for you. NexaroAI portfolio use requires separate permission.

Who checks the facts and professional claims?

You remain the expert reviewing your message. Flag outdated facts, unsupported promises and anything outside your expertise before approval. AI can help shape the explanation, but it does not replace your professional judgement.

Is your situation different?

Tell us about your expertise and what you would like to explain. We can discuss whether a pilot fits.
